Samsung Series 9 Laptop - Getting Close to a Macbook Air

At this year's CES, Samsung has revealed their latest enhancements to last year's already impressive Series 9 laptop, we're not calling it an ultrabook for now since Samsung has called this laptop an ultraslim and was avoiding using Intel's ultrabook terminology.

As some technology experts have been saying, the year 2012 is going to be a year of ultrabooks or simply said, powerful little laptops.  Last year's Series 9 model had a few drawbacks, first and foremost was its price tag, about P72,000.  That's quite a high price, specially if you consider that you can actually get a Macbook Air with the same specs.  Another weakness was that the trackpad didn't quite feel as good as the Mac's trackpad.

Samsung has made a few but notable tweaks to the latest Series 9, the new Series 9 is now 37 percent thinner and 0.4 pounds lighter.  The curves have been reduced compared to last year's Series 9 was very curvy.  One most notable improvement is the Series 9 resolution, boasting 1,600 x 900 pixels.  The Samsung Series 9 will be available in both 13 inch and 11 inch models.

The 13 inch model will be priced at about P61,000 and the 15 inch model at P65,200.
