Apple announced today the release of its latest tablet, what they now call "the new iPad ".  So it's not the iPad 3 or the iPad HD but it definitely has a high definition retina display which was first used on the iPhone 4. This latest release of the iPad has been a disappointment to me, not too many groundbreaking or stunning new features.  It almost feels like the iPhone 4S all over again, but the iPhone 4S had Siri to awe the world, I wonder what the new iPad will feature that will let us upgrade from the iPad 2. Well, here are the specs and features for the 3rd generation iPad, I also noted if the particular new feature was accurately forecasted in the rumor mill before the actual Apple event : 1. Retina Display - the retina display on the iPad will have a resolution of 2048x1536, this according to Apple will have 44 percent greater color saturation and a total of 3.1 million pixels on the same 9.7 inch screen as the iPad 2.  That will be four times the c

Still a lot of blogs are coming out with their own speculations on what the next generation iPad might or might not have.  Here is what I've gotten so far: - High resolution screen, the iPad might have the same retina display currently found on the iPhone 4/4S. - Siri might be coming to the iPad. - No more physical home button? This is one rumor that is most likely to stay that way, I'm still betting on the iPad to have the current physical home button. - HD video , also currently on the iPhone 4/4S, might be coming to the iPad - Quad core processor , this will have the highest probability, the iPad 2 is currently equipped with a dual core processor, so it's just logical that the next generation iPad will have a

iPad 3 Will be Called iPad HD

It looks like we won't be having an iPad 3 after all, well, that is in terms of naming the next generation iPad.  Sources from different blogs are stating that the iPad 3 will be called iPad HD. Apple might be calling the next generation iPad, the iPad HD because of it's higher resolution screen, something similar to how Apple named the iPhone 4s instead of going for iPhone 5.
