According the the online publisher BuzzFeed, Apple will be releasing the next generation Apple TV streaming box in September this year.  The Apple TV 4 will have a totally new remote and will be equipped with Siri voice control capabilities.

The new remote will now have touch pad input as compared to the buttons found in the current Apple TV's remote.

The fourth generation Apple TV will have a slimmer chassis, increased on-board storage and an operating system that will support Siri.

The latest Apple TV will also have it's own App store and a development kit for developers.  This is great for Apple TV fans since this opens up the Apple TV to a lot more innovative apps previously not available in the current Apple TV.

The excitement is building up and hopefully Apple TV fans will not be disappointed, the last Apple TV update was back in 2013.  A lot of people were expecting the new Apple TV to be announced in Apple's latest World Wide Developer's conference in June but was not announced.
