Apple Releases iOS 7.0.2

Image
Just over a week after Apple released iOS 7 to the general public, iOS 7.0.2 has been released.  The latest update specifically fixes the iOS 7 vulnerability that allows someone to bypass the lock screen passcode.  This comes aside from the news that a German hacker was supposedly able to hack the fingerprint scanner in the iPhone 5s. 2 Days with iOS 7 on my iPhone 5

Image
I was able to install iOS 7 ahead of the official scheduled release on Wednesday, here is a summary of what I liked and didn't like about Apple's latest release of its mobile operating system. Installation had no major issues, I was able to setup iOS 7 using the restore function since I had the iOS 7 update on my local drive.  Before I did the restore, I did a backup both on my Windows 8 PC and then to iCloud .  Since iOS 7 isn't officially out yet, the current iTunes 11.0.5.5 for Windows won't be able to recognize the iPhone 5 running on iOS 7, thus the need for the iCloud backup.  Apple still has to release the latest iTunes which will be compatible with iOS 7 devices.  The restore took less than 10 minutes. The only issue I had was that I couldn't find the iOS backup I did right before the restore, so I had to setup the iPhone 5 from scratch and then setup everything like I wanted and re-install all the apps I had before the restore. After I got ba...

The CPU has increased from the initial prototypes, from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, more or less a 10 percent increase in performance.  So both the CPU and GPU speeds have been upgraded before the Xbox one gets released. Apple Sends Invitation for September 10 Event

Image
Apple has sent out invitations to its much anticipated special event of the year, 2013.  The invitation is very colorful, and the colors match what we are expecting to be the color scheme of iOS 7, which we also expect to be released to the general public in the September 10 event.  The invitation has a "This should brighten everyone's day" caption as shown in the image above. Now that the special Apple event is confirmed, the only remaining details to be confirmed are what new products will be released.  Majority of the leaks point to 2 new iPhone models, one high end iPhone 5S , set to replace the current iPhone 5 and one mainstream model, the iPhone 5C, which will feature a plastic case to be released in various colors.  The other leaks point to a gold iPhone, which I still can't imagine how it will actually look, this will be an addition to the current white and black models. Aside from the new iPhones, everyone is still guessing if we will see new ...
