Xbox One Gets Official Launch Date
Microsoft just posted today in its Xbox news blog at http://news.xbox.com/2013/09/xbox-one-launch that the latest generation of their console, the Xbox One will be officially launched on November 22, 2013 in 13 markets.
The 13 markets include Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA. According to Microsoft, the Xbox One will be available in many more markets by 2014.
Pre-orders have been sold out, and according to Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President of Marketing, Strategy and Business, Xbox, this has been the fastest pre-order selling out in history and said that they are on track to having the biggest Xbox launch ever.
The CPU has increased from the initial prototypes, from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ, more or less a 10 percent increase in performance. So both the CPU and GPU speeds have been upgraded before the Xbox one gets released.
If you're looking to be the first to own an Xbox one, make sure you're ready to shell out $500, that's $100 more than the Sony PS4 which is expected to be released earlier on November in the United States.
