Another bit of good news is that you can now save your Word, Excel and Powerpoint files created on the iPad in the DropBox cloud storage .  Office for iPad allows integration with DropBox, so you can share and edit your files in multiple devices. New, Cheaper iMacs Released

Image
Apple has just released new, cheaper iMacs.  The cheapest iMac now starts at $1099, that's $200 cheaper than the previous generation.  Of course there are sacrifices made to get to the $1099 price, the processor is only a 1.4Ghz dual-core chip.  The video card is the low-end Intel 5000 graphics compared to the previous Intel Iris Pro integrated graphics card.  Storage wasn't spared, it was cut in half from 1TB to 500GB. The new $1099 iMac is probably being targeted to those who want a decent all in one machine, with the build quality and software of Apple. With those specs, hard-core gaming is not possible but should be enough for basic computing needs like browsing the internet, occasional spreadsheet creation, editing and viewing and word processing. The Apple event started with a short video showing Apple philosophies, the video was first shown in the June 2013 developer's conference. The event was kicked off by no other than current Apple CEO Tim Cook and showed another video on how the iPhone 5C and 5S is doing.  According to Cook, the 5C and 5S had good reviews and only after 5 days of the mobile operating system's release, more than 200 million devices were already running iOS 7.  Making it the fastest software upgrade in history. Tim Cook also mentioned that as of today, there are about 20 Million users of iTunes Radio and over a billion songs have been played on iTunes Radio. The App Store continues to grow, with over 60 billion cumulative downloads to date. So based on the rumors leading to the event, here are what came out to be true, and some disappointments in Apple's latest releases. October 22 Apple Event Confirmed

Image
As expected, the October 22 Apple event is now confirmed.  Apple has sent invitations to newspapers and blogs for an event that is expected to release the latest line of iPods , iMacs and the highly anticipated Mac Pro. The invitation simply states "We still have a lot to cover" together with the Apple logo and some very colorful highlights.  My personal translation of the invitation would mean that either the iPad or the iPad mini or both will follow the iPhone 5C in various colors . In earlier leaks, there have been pictures that show the next generation iPad in the Gold and Space Grey colors, exactly the same as the iPhone 5S colors. The event will be on October 22, Tuesday, 1PM EDT, or October 23, Wednesday, 1AM Manila Time.  We don't know yet if Apple will do a live stream similar to the September event. Could This be the iPhone Gamepad from Logitech?

Image
Several leaked images on the internet are showing what could be a prototype of the rumored Logitech gamepad for iPhone . This leaked image from the Twitter account @evleaks, which is well known for its accuracy on upcoming products from mobile companies shows the Logitech logo, a d-pad on the left, 4 buttons on the right and 2 bumper buttons on top: The controller leaves a space for the camera at the back, which means the gamepad will be compatible with games which makes use of the camera of the iPhone. Apple , in it's latest special event, said that iOS 7 now supports gamepads , but we still have to see an actual gamepad come out for production use.  iOS 7 will be supporting 2 types of gamepads, one will be like the image shown above, wherein the gamepad will also work as a case and the other type will be a stand alone unit which will communicate with the iPhone via Bluetooth. First Curved Smart Phone Released by Samsung

Image
Samsung has released the very first curved smartphone in Korea .  The phone is named Samsung Round, probably because they couldn't call it Samsung Curve as that already has been used by Blackberry .  The Samsung Round bring to the real world the long rumored curved screen technology being researched and developed by both Apple and Samsung. Right now, we still don't have too much information on what the advantages of a curved screen would bring, until we actually get our hands on one. Aside from the new technology of the curved screen, the Samsung Round goes head to head with most of today's high end phones.  The screen is a full 1080p 5.7 inch OLED display.  The Samsung Round will be ran by Android 4.3, which will be powered by a 2.3GHz MSM 8974 quad-core processor , 32GB of internal storage, 3GB RAM , and up-to-64GB microSD card slot. The Samsung Round will also feature Samsung's proprietary software now found in the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 and 3....
