Nokia , previously the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer until it was dethroned by electronics giant Samsung , tries to get back into the smartphone business with the unveiling of its latest Lumia smartphones. Nokia released the Lumia 900 previously but was not a success in terms of sales and innovation.  Nokia has partnered with software giant Microsoft to come up with its flagship smartphone, the Lumia 920.  The Lumia 920 is going to run on the latest Windows Phone 8 operating system. The Nokia Lumia 920 is equipped with a 4.5" LCD Nokia PureMotion HD Plus screen which according to Nokia is the fastest screen ever on a mobile phone.  The screen will be capable of displaying WXGA resolution which is 1,280x768 pixels. It's been a while since we last saw a major groundbreaking mobile phone release from one of the world's largest electronics companies, Sony .  In the recently concluded IFA, consumer electronics limited, Sony showed of the latest models in it's Xperia mobile phone lineup. There were 3 variants showed for the new Xperia, the T, V and J models.  All these models will be run on Android .  The top of the line T model is the phone used by agent 007 in the latest James Bond movie .  As with most of Sony's high-end phone, the Xperia T's display will be powered by Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine.  The screen will be 4.6" HD. The Xperia-T will have a 13 megapixel camera with 1080p HD video recording, while the front will be equipped with a 720p HD front-facing camera. Roxio , the makers of the hit game Angry Birds has just published a teaser of what could possibly the next generation Angry Birds game.  A lot of speculation of what the new game would be is coming out in the blogosphere some saying it could be a tower defense game . The teaser has been published on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube but no specific details have been released yet. Good news to all the Apple fans out there, the most awaited release of the year, possibly the release of the iPhone 5 has been set. Apple has just announced a September 12 special event for the press in San Francisco .  This confirms earlier speculation that Apple is set to release the next generation iPhone anytime September, 2012.  The most notable hint that Apple might be giving is the shadow which shows the number 5, most likely hinting toward the iPhone 5 or whatever Apple might be calling their latest iteration of the widely popular iPhone. Just like previous releases, there have been so much rumors going around about how the iPhone 5 will look and what will be the ground breaking features it will carry. Archos, well known for it's portable devices, now enters into the portable gaming space with its Android powered Archos GamePad.  The GamePad has a 7" touchscreen display.  The GamePad will have no optical media, it will be a wi-fi only device.  The GamePad will be run on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich operating system. The GamePad will not only be for gaming, it will also have tablet-like features such as access to the web, applications and email.  The applications can be accessed or downloaded through the GamePad's access to Google Play. The GamePad will have physical buttons very similar to the Sony PSP and will be powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz CPU combined with a Mali 400 MP quad-core GPU.  The device will come with a Micro-USB port and a Mini-HDMI output port.  The GamePad will come equipped with 1GB of RAM and a microSD slot, expandable up to 64GB. I just got my hands on the brand new LG 50PM4700 50" Plasma TV .  The first thing I noticed (carrying the package home) was the package was quite heavy, and I realized that the one thing that made this TV set heavy, aside from the mere size of course, was the protective skin glass. Setting up the TV for first use was a breeze, the LG Plasma detected that it was the first time to use and asked if I preferred to scan channels manually or automatically, of course I chose the automatic scan.  I was very impressed since this LG was able to map the channels correctly as opposed to my previous TV which set the channel to the first blank slot it found.
