What is the Google Chromecast Audio?
Have you heard about Google's latest gadget? The Chromecast Audio?
The Google Chromecast Audio is like the Google Chromecast only for Audio :)
The Chromecast Audio will plug into your speaker and will be able to stream music through Wi-Fi.
So why do we need the Chromecast Audio if most of the speakers available in the market now already have Bluetooth connectivity?
Streaming via Wi-Fi produces higher quality audio, and this gives the ability to stream straight from the cloud. Aside from that, you no longer have to pair your devices to be able to listen to music on your speakers.
You will just need to install the Chromecast app on your phone, tablet or computer and you will have a Cast button from most of the music apps available, tapping on this button will send music instantly to your speakers connected to the Chromecast Audio.
Initial music apps which will be Chromecast Audio compatible are Spotify, Pandora, Google Play Music, iHeart Radio and NPR One.
The best thing about the Chromecast Audio is that it will just be $35 and is available now from the Google Store, Best Buy and Wallmart.
What you'll get inside the box:
- Chromecast Audio
- 3.5 mm analog stereo patch cable
- Power cable
- Power adapter
