Microsoft Windows 10 Released Today

Microsoft will be releasing the latest version of their flagship operating system today.  Windows 10 will be available as a free upgrade to almost all laptops, tablets, desktops and even hybrids running Windows 8 and some even running Windows 7.

What are the key features of the latest Windows release?

Windows 10 will have these new features:

1. The Start menu is back! Microsoft has removed the dual Windows desktop/Metro modes and has returned to the very familiar Start menu which you could now customize and extend by pinning tiles on the menu.

2. According to Microsoft, Windows 10 starts up and resumes fast.

3. Compatible with hardware and software you already have.

4. Windows 10 introduces Microsoft's latest web browser, the Microsoft Edge browser.  Aside from a very simplistic interface, Edge allows users to write notes directly on web pages and share them with others.

5. Cortana - Microsoft's personal assistant.

6. Multi tasking in one fixed view, with Windows 10, you have the ability to snap up to 4 applications which will all be displayed in one fixed view.

7. Windows Store, similar to the Apple App store, this is the central location where users can purchase apps for all the different platforms and devices running Windows 10.

8. Multiple ways to interact.  With Windows 10, you can touch, type and write depending on your preference and your device capabilities.

9. Continuum.  A unique Microsoft technology that enables your apps to look and work great in all modes, on all devices. On 2-in-1 devices, your screen can be optimized to work with touch or keyboard and mouse.

10. Xbox comes to Windows.  Windows 10 enables users with Xbox consoles to stream their games directly to any device running on Windows 10 at home.

Samsung Galaxy R - Dual Core Mobile Phone

Samsung has released the latest addition to its Galaxy mobile phone line, the Galaxy R.  The Galaxy R is a joint project between Samsung and Nvidia, the world's largest video chip manufacturer.  The Samsung Galaxy R is the first in Samsung's wide array of mobile phones that will be equipped with Nvidia's dual core Tegra 2 processor. The Tegra 2 should enable the Galaxy R to perform complicating computing tasks and even high resolution games.  The Galaxy R will be able to output high definition video up to 1080p.  The Galaxy R will be run by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. Logitech Create for the 9.7 Inch iPad Pro

Logitech just released a Create keyboard case for the 9.7 inch iPad Pro.  The Create was first released for the larger iPad Pro 12.9 inch version. Similar to the first release, the Create has a lot of features specifically created for iOS .   There are shortcut keys which let you change volume, language and switch between apps. The Create maximizes the use of the iPad Pro's smart connector, once you switch the keyboard to typing mode, the keyboard and the smart connector on the iPad Pro come into contact.  The Create will get it's power from the iPad Pro.  No need to pair Bluetooth since the smart connector also handles the data between the keyboard and the iPad Pro.
