Microsoft Office Apps Now Free for iPad

Good news for all of you writing documents, editing worksheets or creating presentations on the iPad.  Microsoft has just made 3 of it's Office productivity programs free to use on the iPad.  Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint and Microsoft Excel are now free, you just need to register for a Microsoft account, a Office 360 subscription is no longer required.

Another bit of good news is that you can now save your Word, Excel and Powerpoint files created on the iPad in the DropBox cloud storage.  Office for iPad allows integration with DropBox, so you can share and edit your files in multiple devices.

The interface is very familiar if you have been using the Microsoft Office suite on your PC or Mac and has been optimized for the iPad.
