Samsung Galaxy R - Dual Core Mobile Phone

Samsung has released the latest addition to its Galaxy mobile phone line, the Galaxy R.  The Galaxy R is a joint project between Samsung and Nvidia, the world's largest video chip manufacturer.  The Samsung Galaxy R is the first in Samsung's wide array of mobile phones that will be equipped with Nvidia's dual core Tegra 2 processor.

The Tegra 2 should enable the Galaxy R to perform complicating computing tasks and even high resolution games.  The Galaxy R will be able to output high definition video up to 1080p.  The Galaxy R will be run by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system.

Acer's Turn to Challenge the Apple iPad

It seems that every month we are getting news about the next iPad challenger.  Taiwan based computer company Acer is this month's latest Apple iPad challenger.  The Acer Iconia Tab A500 is the latest tablet to be released and challenge the current bestselling iPad. The Acer Iconia Tab is powered by a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor which makes it powerful enough to play more sophisticated games.  Spreadsheets and word processors shouldn't be a problem also with this kind of power under the hood.
