Useful features currently only found in the iPad are being made available in the Mac OS X Lion operating system.

The Mac OS X Lion will now feature the Mac App store.  The Mac App store will bring the application portal found in the App Store on the iPad to the Mac OS X, where users will be able to purchase applications online and immediately install software once the download has completed.

Launchpad, again taking from the iPad, will offer an icon filled screen very similar to the layout of the iPad, so that all your favorite applications will be easily accessible.  The Launchpad will be accessible via an icon on the OS X Lion Dock.

Multi touch gestures will also be available on the OS X Lion, with this, you will be able to do rubber-band scrolling, page and image zoom and full screen swiping.
