Apple iOS 5 Preview
Also in today's WWDC keynote, the Apple iOS 5 details have been released. This is by far one of the major upgrades to the already advanced iOS operating system for iOS devices.
According to Apple, the new iOS 5 will have more than 200 new features for the iPad, iPhone or iPod touch.
Here are the major enhancements:
Notification Center - Since we get a lot of different kinds of notifications (Text, Twitter, Facebook.. etc.) on our devices, Apple has created a centralized application which will organize all these notifications. With notification center, you will just swipe down from the top of the screen, and all your notifications from different applications will be accessible. New notifications will appear briefly on the top of the screen.
iMessage - With iMessage, you can now send text messages from any iOS 5 device to another. Conversations are stored so you can go back to a conversation you left off. Not only can you send text messages, you can also send photos, videos, locations and contacts.
Newsstand - With iOS 5, you can now view your magazine and newspaper subscriptions in one place. Similar to iBooks, only this time for magazines and newspapers. Newsstand manages all your subscriptions and when a new issue is released, it will automatically download the latest issue in the background including the front page.
