October 20 Apple Mac Event

Apple is scheduled to release updates to it's line of Mac lineup.  The Mac notebooks have somewhat been overshadowed by the very popular iPad, iPhone and iPod releases, but let's not forget that the Mac notebook lineup plays an integral part of Apple's business.  Again, there are a lot of rumors going around about what Apple will be releasing on it's October 20 event.  Here are some of the most popular and most realistic of the rumors:

1. Since the MacBook pro 15" and 17" now have the latest Intel core i5 and core i7 processors, it would just be logical for the 13" Macbook pro to get probably the Intel core i3 processor.
2. A new MacBook Air? - Hopefully, this is one of the best looking laptops ever, and a refresh would definitely be in order.  Probably a faster processor, more memory, or since it's an Apple product, they might have even thought of a better form factor, but I'm not complaining about the current form factor, this is already way cool!
3. Based on the invitation of Apple, we will get a sneak peek of the latest major version of Mac OS X.
